Blown Fuse Earrings

Materials: Recycled fuses, silver plated hooks, solder.

In this work I explore how value is placed on objects and materials. A fuse is for some of its life of more use than an a piece of jewellery, say, a pair of earrings -- especially fast-fashion accessories.

In this work I used blown fuses from mechanic workshops to create earrings. My idea is to design a whole series of jewellery made from blown fuses, screws and tool bits to play with instrumental and aesthetic value.
