Conceptual Artist, Sculptor, Writer
Bibi is a Kiwi artist, sculptor and writer living in Amsterdam. Her sensory multimedia works often combine recycled materials with technology, digital elements, sound and movement to achieve combined sensory effects, invite heightened interactivity and play.
Bibi is fascinated with elemental change, shifting perspectives and inviting the audience to become part of her work. She frequently collaborates with engineers, musicians, performers, sustainable designers, researchers and grassroots communities to create accessible, experimental work and foster unexpected/unusual relationships between audience and art.
After graduating from Creative Media (major) and New Media Journalism in Auckland, New Zealand, Bibi spent 15 years as a Creative Director and Copywriter for NGOs, charities, and agencies. She has won multiple awards for her conceptual work and writing, and creates pieces at various festivals and events. Bibi currently studies Fine Arts at Gerrit Rietveld Academy and works in Amsterdam.
