Meet Dog

A temporary site-specific sculpture created to act as both obstacle in, and catalyst for, an encounter. The work explores the notion of recycled and unwanted materials. Created for the context of an off-leash dog-walking park in Amsterdam, the organic sculpture acted as a catalyst for encounter and obstacle between artist, dog and owner. The object questions the cognitive dissonance and dissociation of meat from its animal origins, not only with human dog-owners, but also with their canine counterparts.
